Mother Denim – Fall 2011

Lela Tillem and Tim Kaeding founded Mother in 2010. Kaeding formerly was Head of Design for 7 for All Mankind, Tillem President of Sales at Citizens of Humanity. ”Our idea was to create a brand that captured the excitement of our own newfangled denims. We are able to add a new element to the way people wear jeans in fit fabric finish and now feel” shake it.

The Camper Satchel

Another great handmade bag from Etsy. The Camper Satchel is made from waxed canvas with leather strap closures. It has two expandable pockets, two smaller flat pockets on the side, and can also be customized by way of fabric or size. “This multipurpose bag is designed with a roll top so it is easy to get in and out of as well as being adjustable for either small or large loads.” I am loving the utilitarian look of this bag. Shake it.

They Have Pom Poms

This spring Thomas Paul has a new collection of silk scarfs. I have a feeling one could only have a good day wearing a colorful, silk scarf with pom poms. Shake it.

Karen Walker – Spring Threads

Karen Walker is a New Zealand born designer with a reputation for her original, effortless and unpretentious style. At first glance her look is almost too conservative for me, and yet there is something offbeat and sexy about it. Shake it Karen.

All Saints – Threads

I think I would be just fine living my life in British brand All Saints clothing. Sexy, well made pieces with just the right amount of edge. They have a great site with a youtube lookbook…outerwear to pretty underwear. Shake it All Saints.

ASOS – All That A Girl Needs

Last year I was on a search for the perfect lace up ankle boots. I eventually found them on one of the big clothing sites. They were by a brand named ASOS that I had never heard of based in the UK. Since then I have noticed ASOS mentioned on a few fashion blogs I follow. Thought I should take a look…whoa! A huge site with dearly selected lines. From sweet professional, to oh so sexy. ASOS shakes it.

Ritten House – Lookbook

Sally Mcdonald and Micah Hamdorf, the husband and wife creators of Rittenhouse , have developed a clothing label in Australia which blends simplistic design with casual elegance. Timeless pieces that I would love to mix with knit caps, jewelry, and scarves. The quality of the pieces, the design, would be a delightful canvas to build ones own personal style around. It’s always fun to shake it up a bit…
