Shaina Mote is a self taught seamstress who’s focus is on creating earth friendly, limited addition pieces. She began designing clothes from discarded pieces using the materials from such things as old tee shirts. This upcycling is how her creative process began. After some time in Paris she returned to the states to begin her small line of clothing. Each garmet is handmade in LA. All pieces are constructed from hand selected dead-stock textiles, making each one of about 100 or less that will be produced. All pieces are numbered to ensure the uniqueness of the design. I simply adore those royal blue shorts. Shake it Shaina.

Madewell began in 1937 as a workwear company. Now primarily focused on denim they master the casual, urban chic look. Their denim catalog is extensive and may be my new online love. The time for shorts has finally arrived, so here are a few great Madewell summer looks. Shake it Madewell.

Self taught designer Jada-lee Watson has created an eco- friendly line of simple separates. Her pieces have great attention to detail and can be transformed from a simple casual day look to a look fitting for a night out. Her clothing is made from all organic fibers and can be found over at the Nixxi shop

Need Supply started in 1996, selling a unique collection of vintage Levi’s. Over time their selection has evolved from an eclectic mix of hard-to-find vintage apparel to an extensive selection of premium street wear and contemporary brands. Need Supply is my one of my favorite clothing shops out there right now, ready to wear fashion at a good price. Here is a sample of the women’s summer collection, however the men’s and women’s shoes and accessories are well worth the trip over to Need Supply. Shake it.

Tom Ford‘s classic Wayfarer Sunglasses designed in Italy are available with shiny light Havana frames and gradient smoke lenses, shiny black frames with green lenses and dark transparent brown frames with gradient brown lenses. I do believe these shades speak for themselves. Summer is on it’s way… shake it.

NYC’s Emma Fletcher designs for her label, Lyell. “Lyell has the fine details of early century clothing, but the shapes can be quite modern.” Ultra-feminine details like pleats and pin-tucks add interest and a sense of fun to otherwise everyday blouses and pencil skirts. Everything from her vintage-inspired silk dresses and blouses, to her beautifully tailored coats are constructed with a sense of glamour, sensuality, and edge. Shake it Emma.
