In 1993, two design students in Switzerland constructed a weatherproof messenger bag out of used truck tarps, used car seat belts and used inner tubing of bicycle tires. Pleased with the result, they turned this idea into a business (Freitag which means Friday) and are now selling their bags all over the world. They come in a never ending wealth of colors and patterns, as they are all cut by hand from different truck tarps—hence each bag is one of a kind. Shake it Freitag!

White Cycling Pack – Nanamica
I have been coveting this pack from Nanamica and have decided it’s just has to be my next big purchase. I love my messenger bag, but It’s time to move up in the world. The off-white pack by Nanamica is constructed of tear and scuff resistant Cordua 1000 nylon, which makes it tougher than it looks. It has all kinds of adjustable bells and whistles and is well… just straight dope. Shake it.
Stash Camera Bags
Stash is a one woman venture founded in 2007 by Mari Forssell. Stash specializes in handmade laptop, iPad and camera bags. Vintage style combined with Scandinavian simplicity, using vintage fabrics. All of her bags are handmade from start to finish in the Stash studio in Omaha, Nebraska. The Camera bags are lined with cotton, water-resistant off white canvas, and have loads of pockets for extra storage. The large bags (shown in grey tweed) come with a removable padded insert for a DSLR / SLR camera, 2-3 lenses and a flash. A functional and stylish accessory for the urban photographer. Shake it Mari.

Ally Capellino Bags
In 1980 Ally Capellino was launched selling hats and jewelry. Her design studio now concentrates on two seasonal bag collections for men and women. Prestigious collaborations with the art and design worlds, most notably the Tate Modern and Apple Inc. I love the classic, vintage look, a nice change from our high-tech lap top bags as of late. Bringin it back. Shake it Ally.
