Sketchbook Packs and Panniers

Amber Jensen has created a line of bespoke wool, waxed canvas and leather knapsacks. Every Sketchbook pack is handmade with fine attention to detail using quality materials. Inspired from 1800′s and early 1900′s mountaineering gear, her packs are designed with performance, durability and style in mind. She uses waxed canvas, leather, soft wool, rubber backed wool, and lines with water resistant cotton duck cloth, they are perfect for even the most rainy days. Shake it Amber.

Mercy Leather Works

Mercy Leather Works is brilliant little etsy shop owned by Rusty Zylstra of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He says “My goal with designing bags is to make something that is built to last. I enjoy making practical items for people to use in there daily lives” Reading about all that goes into each bag is a joy—waterproofed, padded adjustable straps, tons of extra pockets and care. Rusty can also make anything else you can think of custom, from toe straps to lock sleeves. Shake it Rusty.

BOOKMAN Bike Lights

One of my favorite Portland shops Machus carries these super cool bike lights. The BOOKMAN Light is designed to meet the modern demands of material and energy efficiency, but most importantly to look fabulous on your bike. BOOKMAN says— “inspired by the bustling bike life of the European metropolis, the focus is the urban bicyclist, for whom style is as important as function. Our design aesthetic is simple but expressive, minimalistic but playful.” I say shake it.

Project Aura – Bicycle Safety Lighting System

And yet another awesome Kickstarter project – “We created a system that requires very little rider input and maintenance, while increasing the visual footprint of bikers from all directions especially from the side. We accomplished this by expanding the surface area of light emitted through the use of RGB LEDs inside the rims of the wheels that change from red when slowing down to white when at cruising speed.”

Officine Firenze Milani – Wooden Handlebars

Oh, how I want these for my bicycle!  Officine Firenze Milani creates these beautifully-crafted wooden handlebars as the ultimate accessory for your bike. They are made in Italy, and give your bicyle that wonderful vintage, European feel.

With a semi-gloss finish, the natural grain of each teak, mahogany, walnut and ash layer gives different personalities to each design. A bisection of aluminum provides structural reinforcement and a nice industrial accent. Shake it.

Property Of Panniers- Cycle and Messenger Bag

Singapore based Property Of has incorporated wax-treated canvas and waterproof tarpaulin with leather detailing to create these Panniers. They come in three colors, coal, brown and orange, with a refined yet utilitarian look. Sold exclusively out of their new Amsterdam flagship store, I am loving this design. While this is a limited addition bag, there has to be another shop with something similar sold in the states… ? But no matter, Property Of is shakin it with this great design.
