Geography, Typography and Yes, Helvetica

Using Helvetica Neue font, Dirk Schächter carefully positioned each letter to achieve the likeness of a conventional world map. “The typomaps are handset, and not automatically generated by a computer program. Thereby we achieve an astonishing closeness to an actual world map.” Each poster is a metre wide, so my type friends… big, colorful, helvetica! Everyone all together now say “ahhh”  Shake it Typomaps.

    About the photo…her lower legs are stretched, don’t you think…tough to find pants with those legs!!?
