Cassette Tape Lamps – Best Mixed Tape Ever

The designers over at Transparent House have come up with the ingenius idea of making lighting from dozens of old cassette tapes. In effect you not only get an amazing sculptural piece, but the light casts dramatic shadows through the cassettes. Each lamp uses a bright, cool-burning neon light source to keep the plastic cassettes from melting. Transparent House certainly has given new meaning to the youthful gesture of making someone a mixed tape. This is a true crush, upcycling and all. I think I am blushing… Shake it guys.
