Berlin designer Arndt Menke is the creator of this unique bike using wood as it’s primary material. Wood frame bikes were long ago set aside for aluminum and more high tech materials. Arndt Menke thinks it was hasty giving up on one of our most strong, resilient, and lightweight natural materials. The end result is a fully functional bike with a frame weight of 2.3 kg I have a funny way of viewing bikes. Some I dream of as the bike that is going to be with me as I enter my first road race. Some bikes I look at as art, a design element, one I can imagine leaning against a brick wall in a flat somewhere in NY. This is that bike. Shake it Ardnt.

The rear wheel fork is GORGEOUS! I’d hang it on my wall…it’s too pretty to ride outside!
I know isn’t it amazing. Bike art for sure.
