Mission Workshop – VX Rucksack // AP Series

As the weather begins to change and the rain starts to pour in Oregon, I’m beginning my search for accessories that are going to get me through the winter as a bike commuter. I love my current messenger bag but am looking to switch to a backpack. The VX Sanction Rucksack from Mission Workshop caught my eye…

It includes the Arkiv® closure system with a 1000 denier VX Cordura ripstop material and PTFE waterproof membrane. Waterproof zippers are an added element to further push the agenda of protection against the rain. An internal pocket can fit electronics of the tablet and laptop variety. Made in the USA with a lifetime warranty. Darn good looking bags to boot. Shake it.

Pantone Baseball Bat

HUH. That is the blog where I found the Pantone Bats. Appropriate isn’t it. The Texas-based Warstic Wood Bat Company have taken a colourful approach to their new series by dipping their maple and ash sluggers in colorful Pantone shades. “There are very few secrets to making a great wood baseball bat,” they say. “It’s about sourcing and selecting the best wood, craftsmanship, attention to detail and knowing how to achieve the right feel.” and all together now… shake it.

Tivoli Audio – Internet Radio

Rich sound and good design, Tivoli’s internet radios are a fashionable alternative to PC speakers. Tivoli Audio’s Tom DeVesto focuses on simplicity in technology, and with making stuff that looks and sounds good. Tivoli’s NetWorks Global Audio System streams Web radio data from a wireless (or wired) network into a stylish rectangular box that sports a four-line LCD readout and 3.5-inch front-firing speaker.

DeVesto, who founded Cambridge SoundWorks built a net portal around it that locates stations worldwide, and helps you select what you like. Some of these radios have an FM tuner as well.Shake it

iPhone CDock

Now that the the iPhone has replaced the watch, alarm clock, discman, and so many more gadgets we need to make a few adjustments. The CDock is another great Kickstarter project that turns your phone into a handsome bedside clock. This thick piece of solid walnut with either a brushed aluminum or glossy resin face plate was designed by two guys in my hometown of Portland, Oregon. You simply start your clock app of choice and slide your phone into the fully enclosed sleeve and it will seamlessly dock and begin to charge. Shake it.

iPhone SLR Mount

Check out Photojojo‘s new iPhone SLR mount. No need to spend $1000+ on a DSLR body, simple get this adapter and use your own Canon EOS or Nikon SLR lenses with your iPhone 4 – with depth of field and manual focus. You can even hang it around your neck just like your real DSLR using two loopholes on either end of the case. One of my favorite iPhone add-ons yet. Shake it.
